The Fifth MyndState is Survival.
"Loss of Control"
"Immediate gratification"
"Impulses"
These are all descriptions of what it feels like to be in a State of Survival. For us, Survival means you are unable to control your actions, you seek immediate gratification, and anything in the way is a threat to your survival.
There are four areas your state will change to the State of Survival:
Belonging: You will immediately feel threatened if you are shamed, ridiculed, or any other event where you feel like you no longer or cannot belong to a group. This emotion begins in the mammalian part of the brain. Chemicals flow that enable us to cause damage to other humans in a fight to belong to the group. Not belonging to a group has meant certain death. Facing a life without a support group indicates we will soon die from the elements even if it is months or years. This is a very strong reaction.
Death: If an event or situation is perceived to threaten your life, an immense amount of chemicals get injected in your body to immediately prepare to survive. This is an incredible amount of power and will occur even if long-term damage occurs to the body, mind, or spirit. It doesn't matter, immediate survival is the focus of these system events.
Moral: When we perceive an event or situation unfolding that challenges our moral, just, or spiritual values, we enter in a State of Survival that can last for extremely long periods, but still causes system damages to ourselves.
Environmental: Certain elements around us can cause our body, mind, and spirit to enter a State of Survival. Many times these manifest as allergic reactions, aggressive mindsets, stress, anxiety, and depression. Over millions of years being out in a lightning storm, exposed to pollen, eating certain things could indicate we are in a threatening environment and chemicals get injected in our body to reduce our abilities.
Environmental factors most of the time are viruses and bacteria. When the nervous systems detect threats within ourselves, chemicals and other bodily components get injected or activated in order to destroy or fight the threat. When we experience "symptoms" these are simply intentional reactions our nervous systems choose to reduce the threat to ourselves, the group, community, society, or the environment.
